New film showcasing the É«ÂþÌìÌà features original music from student Dennis Tjiok

An exciting new film showcasing the É«ÂþÌìÌà received its premiere last night at the College’s More Music Virtual Gala.

The short film gives viewers an insight into life at the É«ÂþÌìÌÃ. Our musical heritage, talented community of staff and students and our spectacular performance spaces are featured in the film which celebrates music's unique power.

Original music was composed by Dennis Tjiok, one of the É«ÂþÌìÌÃ’s Composition for Screen students, and recorded in the College’s Belle Shenkman studio featuring a small ensemble of É«ÂþÌìÌà musicians. Dennis is a German composer, producer, orchestrator, organist and a member of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew.

Composition for Screen at the É«ÂþÌìÌà allows students at postgraduate level to concentrate on developing the skills necessary for a creative and rewarding profession. Our alumni work across the world, including Hollywood and London, winning BAFTAs, Grammys, Golden Globes, Academy Awards and other prestigious accolades for their work in film, television and gaming.

When speaking about the opportunity Dennis stated ‘I feel extremely honoured to write music for the É«ÂþÌìÌà itself - the institution that honed my skills in film composition over the last two years. Many thanks to all the lovely musicians, recording engineers and tutors who were involved!’
