Tuesday 9 June 2020
The É«ÂþÌìÌà was placed first among UK conservatoires for music for the second consecutive year. The Complete University Guide Arts, Drama and Music league table ranks specialist colleges and conservatoires in the UK using ten criteria: entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, graduate prospects, student-staff ratio, academic services spend, facilities spend, good honours and degree completion. The É«ÂþÌìÌà performed particularly well in graduate prospects, facilities spend and degree completion.
É«ÂþÌìÌà Director Professor Colin Lawson said ‘The É«ÂþÌìÌà has demonstrated its commitment to the training of talented musicians from across the world as well as dedication to high quality teaching and facilities. This result shows that we continue to support talented musicians who choose to study at our world-class institution.’
This success follows the É«ÂþÌìÌà being ranked the top institution for performing arts in the UK for the fifth consecutive year in the QS World University Rankings (2016–20).
